Redeam wins most innovative startup for airline disruption voucher solution

Boulder, Colo. (Sept. 17, 2018) – Redeam, the leading provider of digital ticketing and redemption technology, was named the Most Innovative StartUp for its Airline Disruption Voucher Solution during the 8th Future Travel Experience Global Awards (FTE) ceremony on Sept. 11 in Las Veg as.

Redeam was first selected as a finalist from more than 50 submissions to FTE’s 2018 Startup Competition and Showcase, a global competition that recognizes startups developing innovative concepts or products that can help to improve customer experiences and business performance for air transport industry stakeholders. Four finalists presented at the Future Travel Experience Global 2018, and the audience of leading airline and airport executives voted Redeam as the Most Innovative StartUp of 2018.

Redeam is already eliminating paper vouchers, improving customer experiences, increasing sales and slashing administrative red tape as the leading provider of digital ticketing and redemption technology for tour, activity and attraction operators. Now, the company has expanded its technology to help airlines and airports eliminate the paper vouchers given to passengers experiencing flight delays. Redeam’s award winning Disruption Voucher Solution (DVS) technology enables airlines and airport concessionaires to digitize the process of handling and reconciling airline-issued disruption vouchers. Airlines can also enable a passenger’s existing, in-hand boarding pass to be used as a disruption voucher that can be redeemed at an airport concessionnaire during a disruption event. Airport vendors also benefit from this new technology, because Redeam’s platform captures, verifies and consolidates each voucher for more efficient reconciliation and reimbursement back from the airlines.

“Redeam’s innovative solutions meet customers where they’re at in today’s mobile age and enhance many touch-points throughout a traveler’s journey,” said Christina Heggie, investment principal at JetBlue Technology Ventures — an investor in Redeam. “We are excited about Redeam’s potential to optimize airline disruption vouchers through an improved back-end connectivity and process between airlines and airport vendors. Congratulations to the team for this recognition!”

The FTE award for Most Innovative Startup is Redeam’s 4th innovation award in the past year. Other accolades include The General Catalyst Award for Travel Innovation, the Phocuswright Award for Travel Innovation (Startup Category), The Phocuswright Summit People’s Choice Award for Innovation and ITB’s Best Startup Pitch powered by Phocuswright. The company was also named one of Skift’s 2018 Top Travel Startups to Watch.
