For example, Reseller A sells 100 tickets of Tour A and only 90 customers end up actually taking Tour A. Reseller A’s breakage is 10 tickets or 10%. Reseller A makes more money if they only pay on what customers show up. Most suppliers demand that OTAs pay on sale, meaning there is no breakage for Reseller A.
