Redeam CEO to Debate Pricing and Yield Management at Arival Berlin
Leading tour and activity connectivity and ticket redemption solution marries frictionless ticket redemption and reconciliation to real-time reseller management.
Boulder, CO (January 25, 2019) – Redeam, the tourism industry’s leading technology solution for automated reseller management, connectivity, and paperless mobile ticket redemption and reconciliation, today announced that CEO Melanie Ryan Meador will be on stage at the upcoming Arival Berlin conference in Germany which takes place on March 4 – 5, 2019. Ryan Meador will be debating the future potential of yield management and dynamic pricing for the tours, attractions, and activities sector of the travel industry. Already well-practiced in other sectors of travel like airlines and hotels, yield management is in its infancy in the activities and attractions sector. This panel debate intends on educating activities and attraction operators as to the merits, requirements, complexities, and pro/con challenges of implementing revenue optimization strategies based on yield management and dynamic pricing.
In the context of activities and attractions, yield management is an inventory control practice designed to base ticket allocations to reselling partners by day and time slot in order to optimize operator profit. Dynamic pricing is an automated adjustment of pricing based on real-time supply and demand in order to maximize ticket sales. Yield management and dynamic pricing have been more fully-enabled by connectivity solutions like Redeam.
“I’m thrilled to be representing the value proposition side of the yield management and pricing debate for the activities and attractions space on stage at Arival Berlin,” said Ryan Meador. “I have a long history with yield management in the travel industry, and I feel strongly that it’s time to bring these benefits to tours, attractions and activities, the fastest-growing sector of travel today. It’s a crucial and fast-changing time in our sector, and it’s being impacted nearly weekly by investments, acquisitions, and consolidations. More than ever, operators need to be armed with as much relevant information as possible in order to sustain and grow their businesses.”
In addition to her appearance on stage at Arival Berlin, Ryan Meador will be attending the rest of the conference along with other members of her Redeam team. Attendees and media are invited to visit the Redeam booth or book appointments in advance.
